ETF Securities Ltd (ETFS), the pioneers in Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs), is continuing to expand their team with the three new hires that have been recruited to handle sales and business development in the UK, Benelux, France, Switzerland, Italy and Ireland. These appointments are to fulfill the growth in investor demand following ETF Securities' recent listings of a platform of ETC products on the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Bourse and Euronext Amsterdam.

Peter Saunders will jointly take responsibility for sales coverage for the Benelux countries, France and Switzerland. Peter has been involved in the securities industry for nearly twenty years as a sales-trader in continental Europe, covering a diverse range of products including swaps, futures, structured products, bonds and equity-linked products. He has worked in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and has spent the last 15 years based in Paris. Most recently, Peter headed up Business Development for Tradition (Continental Europe), and was also Head of Marketing Equities and Capital Markets for Collins Stewart Tullett in Paris.

Massimo Siano will assist in sales coverage for Italy. He has worked in Sales for Bloomberg, Credit Suisse and credit controller with Bibby Group Ltd. In Madrid he collaborated with Spanair (development strategy of the sales service Center) and Arthur D Little (strategic plan to install digital TV). In Paris he worked with Deutsche Bank (internal auditing). In Monaco he joined CFM Monaco (FX and commodity advisor). In Italy he joined De Agostini (securitization of UTET credits). He graduated from Turin University, faculty of Political Sciences in 2003 and has an International Msc in Business at ESCP-EAP (Oxford, Madrid, Paris) in 2002.

Helen Burden will take responsibility for marketing and systems development. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge of marketing within the financial sector within B2B events companies. She has previously worked as a Marketing Manager with International Centre Business Information (ICBI) which is a subsidiary of Informa Plc (INF). Euromoney Business Meetings and Euromoney Investor Shows part of Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc (ERM) and Terrapinn Ltd. In her previous role's she has marketed a wide range of large scale, annual, multi-streamed international conferences and exhibitions, business forums and financial training programmes across a diverse range of industries.

ETFS intend to continue to expand the sales team to meet the demand generated from its listings across Europe.

In October, ETFS listed 31 ETCs on the Deutsche Bourse, this was following a successful launch of 29 ETCs on the London Stock Exchange in September and two oil ETCs on Euronext Amsterdam in July. These new securities are the first listed products to track a series of sub-indices representing individual commodities, along with commodity groups, that have recently been added to the Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index family.

ETCs are a secure and transparent investment designed to give investors a total return. They provide investors with a simple and cost-effective way to obtain direct exposure to commodities prices without having to trade futures contracts or take physical delivery of the commodities - which investors were previously unable to do. ETF Securities' listing of the ETCs across Europe has enabled investors to trade an expansive range of commodities in USD and Euros through an ordinary brokerage account in the same way as equities in a way that was previously unavailable.

Commenting on the further growth of the team, Graham Tuckwell, Chairman of ETF Securities, said:

"Following our listings over the last six months of ETCs on the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Bourse and Euronext Amsterdam, and the resulting significant growth in assets under management, we are continuing to expand the team. Helen, Massimo and Peter's appointments increase further depth to the team. Their experience and contribution to the team will be invaluable."

In September 2006, ETF Securities launched 29 ETCs, comprising of 19 individual securities and 10 index securities, on the London Stock Exchange. This prompted the London Stock Exchange (LSE) to create a new sector, Exchange Traded Commodities. This new trading platform on the LSE deals exclusively in ETCs, with the management of ETF Securities having created all 32 securities (29 new ones and 3 existing ones). These new securities are the first listed products to track a series of sub-indices representing individual commodities, along with commodity groups, that have recently been added to the Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index family.

Following a high level of investor demand ETF Securities went on to launch similar ETCs on the Deutsche Bourse in November and then the following month on Euronext Amsterdam in December 2006.
