About Us

ETF Securities is a provider of Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs), Exchange Traded Currencies (ETCs) and 3rd generation Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The management of ETF Securities pioneered the development of ETCs, with the world's first listing of an ETC, Gold Bullion Securities in Australia and London in 2003 and then the world's first entire ETC platform which was listed on the London Stock Exchange in September 2006.

Management

Graham Tuckwell - Chairman

Graham Tuckwell is the founder and chairman of the ETF Securities group of companies. He is also the founder and chairman of Gold Bullion Securities Limited in Jersey and Australia, which companies obtained the world's first listings of a commodity on a stock exchange. Previously, Graham was the founder and managing director of Investor Resources Limited, a boutique corporate advisory firm, which specialised in providing financial, technical and strategic advice to the resources industry. Prior to establishing Gold Bullion Securities Limited and Investor Resources Limited, he was Head of Mining Asia/Pacific at Salomon Brothers, Group Executive Director at Normandy Mining responsible for Strategy and Acquisitions and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Credit Suisse First Boston in Australia. Graham holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Australian National University.
Nik Bienkowski - Chief Operating Officer

Nik Bienkowski helped Graham Tuckwell found ETF Securities. Nik joined Graham Tuckwell in 2002 when they established Gold Bullion Securities, the world's first gold ETC. Nik had previously been involved with marketing and research but now covers product development, listings and Exchange relations and index licensing. Previously, Nik spent almost five years at a number of departmental start-ups including the Canadian office for Macquarie Bank's mining team and Towers Perrin's global custody consulting team. Nik holds the CFA and B.A./B.Comm (Honours Finance) degrees from Melbourne University.
Hector McNeil - Head of Sales and Marketing

Hector McNeil is responsible for sales and marketing for the ETF Securities group of companies. Hector started his career at the London Stock Exchange after completing his studies at the University of Hull. Hector left the LSE to study full time for an MBA at Warwick Business School. He then had a short stint at BZW before moving to Morgan Stanley for five years. From Morgan Stanley, Hector moved to become Chief Operating Officer at Jiway, the Exchange joint venture between Morgan Stanley and OM Gruppen. After Jiway, Hector spent time at Nomura, and then was Head of Business Development at Susquehanna International Securities, setting up a highly successful market making and liquidity provision business which included ETF, stock future and equity market making.
Tom Quigley, Chief Financial Officer

Tom Quigley is the Chief Financial officer of ETF Securities Limited based in Jersey. Previously Mr Quigley has held senior management positions in investment banking where he was a Managing Director at ING Barings Investment Banking and prior to that at Close Brothers Corporate Finance in the City of London. More recently he was a Director of Terra Firma Capital Partners, the private equity firm and a Managing Director at W.P. Carey & Co LLC, the asset management firm. He is a Chartered Accountant and member of the ICAEW having trained with Price Waterhouse, London. He holds an MA in Physics from Oxford University, England.
Mark Weeks, Chief Executive

Mark is responsible for driving the ETF Exchange strategy, business development and co-ordinating with all parties involved. Mark joins from UBS where he ran the highly successful Securities Lending franchise in Zurich. Prior to this, he spent 7 years at Goldman Sachs International, where as a Managing Director he was responsible for running the European Securities Finance sales and trading desk, servicing major institutional and hedge fund clients. This desk formed a core part of Goldman Sach's highly successful Prime Brokerage business. Before being appointed at Goldman Sachs, Mark joined London Global Securities in 1993, as Global Head of Securities Finance sales. Mark started his career in 1985 joining IP Sharp to sell securities finance systems, which led to a role at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for the European Securities Finance sales and trading business.
Nicholas Brooks, Head of Research and Investment Strategy

Nicholas is head of research and investment strategy for the ETF Securities group of companies. Nicholas has over 15 years experience as a global economist and strategist, covering a wide range of markets and asset classes. Prior to joining ETF Securities, Nicholas was a senior member of Henderson Global Investors asset allocation and strategy team based in London. Before that he was senior economist on Deutsche Bank’s top ranked Global Markets strategy and economics team. He started his career at Citibank in New York. Nicholas has a B.A. from Brown University, an M.A. from Columbia University, an MSc in Economics from the University of London, and has completed work on a PhD thesis examining financial fragility and the dynamics of financial crisis.
