How to buy & sell ETCs can be bought or sold on regulated stock exchanges through ordinary brokerage accounts
Minimum trade size One security
Liquidity ETCs are open-ended securities, and therefore are not limited to on-exchange volumes
Settlement T+3 (trade date plus three business days) in CREST
Management fee 0.39% per annum to 0.98% (see individual product page)


How to Buy & Sell

ETCs can be bought or sold throughout the trading day on regulated stock exchanges, and trade just like ordinary shares.

ETCs can be traded with all the same order types as a stock, including:
  • Market orders
  • Limit orders
  • Stop orders
  • Short sell*
  • Buy on margin*

ETCs are traded on regulated exchanges by a variety of professional financial firms.

Market makers and Authorised Participants provide liquidity for ETCs, and will execute larger orders by phone. Authorised Participants are approved by ETF Securities to create/redeem ETCs.
